Rebecca Louise Davies (b. 1993) is a Copenhagen based painter and ceramicist, originally from the UK. Rebecca's works seek to capture the mundane and fragmented aspects of society, focusing on everyday characters and overlooked objects to form a melancohlic narrative. With a primary focus on colour and composition, her work is presented in a collage format, with graphic shapes and suggestive outlines contributing to the overall story. Societal expectations are a consistent theme played throughout, with the deliberate questioning of what it means to be valued and the impossibility of 'having it all.' Through each painting and sculpture, Rebecca leads the viewer into a confronting yet compelling snapshot of a plausible dystopian world.

Rebecca creates paintings on canvas using a variety of mediums and produces sculptures from stoneware clay. All work is created in her Copenhagen studio unless otherwise stated, and can be viewed by appointment.
